Alex West, Lara Croft's tomb raiding competition and (presumably) her former lover in the first Tomb Raider film, was played to smarmy perfection by Daniel Craig. Admittedly, Alex isn't the most scrupulous character; he's not particularly trustworthy or even likable, but there's something about this arrogant archaeologist... Maybe it's Daniel Craig's impressive abs.
