About: Chris Isaak

Christopher Joseph Isaak (born June 26, 1956 in Stockton, California) is an American indie rock, pop and rock and roll singer, songwriter, and occasional actor.
 
Isaak's music can be described as a blend of country, blues, rock and roll, pop and surf rock, and has been featured on many film soundtracks. His videos are well-known for their sensuality; the video for "Wicked Game," Isaak's most recognizable song, was directed by photographer Herb Ritts and featured Isaak rolling on a black sand beach with a topless model.
 
Isaak also acts on occasion; he has played in several feature films and had guest roles on a few television shows. In 2001, Chris Isaak starred in his own television show, The Chris Isaak Show, which aired on the cable television network Showtime. This adult comedy show featured Chris Isaak and his band playing themselves with the episode plots based on fictional accounts of the backstage world of Chris Isaak--the rock star next door.
