The X-Men comic books have been around since the 1960s, and Logan/Wolverine first appeared in the comics in the 1970s. Immediately, sparks flew between Logan and Jean Grey, and some fans sat up and took notice.

Since the Marvel writers obviously weren't going to read our minds and put Logan and Jean together in canon (or keep them together; we're still mad at Mark Millar), Redshippers did the next best thing. They started writing fanfiction.
